Class Descriptions



Tiny Tumblers- Age walking to Age 3 - Children will learn basic dance movement through musical games and a circuit of fun activities. Equipment such as slides, trampolines, tunnels and foam balance beams help babies learn coordination as they develop their large motor skills!  Little dancers will have a parent or guardian participate in the class with them. The class is taught once per week on Saturdays for 45 minutes.

Acrobatics - Age 3 & up - Acrobatics is a combination of ballet, jazz, and gymnastics. A discipline that teaches tricks, flips and partner lifts starting at a beginners level, while improving flexibility, strength, agility, and control. This art form is seen in Cirque du Soleil. 

Ballet - Age 3 to 18 - Ballet is the foundation of all of the other dance disciplines. Taking ballet is strongly recommended as a building block. This classical form of dance improves posture, flexibility, grace, and fluidity of motion


Pointe - Ages 12 to 18 - This class is by selection only for students who have taken several years of ballet. They must be able to demonstrate the proper strength in order to be selected to take this class. Students will learn simple exercises at the barre while focusing on strengthening and enhancing articulation of the ankles and feet, and develop an understanding of alignment and technique for pointe work.

Jazz - Age 3 to 18 - This fundamental dance form combines classical ballet technique and modern stylized movements to popular and energetic music. Jazz is one of the most expressive forms of dance that is fun, exciting and entertaining.


Tap - Age 3 to 18 - This timeless dance form incorporates smooth rhythm, timing and co-ordination through various combinations of intricate steps. The dancers make music with their feet.


Hip Hop - Age 3 to 18 - This high energy class uses unique moves to new and old hip hop music. It is fun, creative, and very expressive. This style of movement is a refined form of street dance seen in music videos, commercials, television, and movies. The cutting edge choreography that you will learn is a must for the Entertainment Industry. 


Contemporary - Age 9 to 18 - A style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. This class stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet using many different styles of music.


*NEW* Cheernastics! - Ages 6 and up - This is a combination CHEER and Gymnastics class!  Dancers will learn to dance with pom poms and learn formation changes and how to dance and cheer as a Team!  Floor tricks and tumbling will also be incorporated into the class.  If your dancer loves cheerleading, dance, partnering lifts and tricks and cheering loudly, this class is for you!
